Ring Sling with Newborns

Why are ring slings the best tip you can give a new parent?

Because they are quick and easy to use and allow you to have some freedom to move around whether or not you have other children running around or not.

I spent a lot of the first 3-4 months on the couch nursing and letting Samuel sleep on me because I could.  But I also started to yearn for the ability to get up and do other things or easily visit the grocery store without lugging around a carseat or having to have the stroller.

The rings are sewn in to the fabric making it a easy and quick tool to use, especially if already threaded!  After a little practice, it is also very easy to get baby in and out, which is a big plus if you have a spit up baby or like baby's like to do, poop often.

It gives you the ability to nurse baby and put them up in the sling if you have chores or errands at home to do.

When you have small ones at home, the main goal is usually getting the most pertinent have to's done, but sometimes it's nice to be able to feel that freedom again.  Do what we want to do, when we want to.  Even if that means cleaning up the kitchen or folding laundry gives us that feeling of being a separate person (while wearing your little person).
